Get in touch
Email t.gao@yale.edu. Include your iOS version, the Widgets version (Settings → About), and a screenshot if something looks wrong. I usually reply within a day on weekdays.
Common fixes
"Connect with Strava" shows a redirect_uri error
This usually means the Strava app settings are mismatched on my side. Email me a screenshot and I'll fix it quickly.
Toggl token isn't accepted
Make sure you're pasting the API token (32 hex characters) from track.toggl.com/profile, not your Toggl password.
Health permission was denied, how do I grant it?
iOS won't ask again once you've said no. To turn it on:
- Open the iPhone Settings app.
- Go to Privacy & Security → Health → Widgets.
- Turn on the data types you want.
- Reopen Widgets and pull down on Home to refresh.
Heatmap shows yesterday's data, not today's
Widgets refreshes in the background, but iOS controls the schedule and may delay it to save battery. To force a refresh, open the app and pull down on the Home screen, or open a metric's detail view.
Widget shows "—" or stale data
Open the Widgets app once. Widgets get fresh data whenever the app runs in the foreground. If it still doesn't update, long-press the widget, tap Edit Widget, and check the metric is still selected.
How do I disconnect an integration?
In the app: Settings → Integrations, tap the integration, tap Disconnect. You can also revoke access directly:
- Strava: strava.com/settings/apps
- Toggl: reset your API token at track.toggl.com/profile
- Apple Health:
Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → Widgets → Turn Off All
How do I delete all my Widgets data?
Disconnect every integration (above), then delete the app. That removes the local database, the caches, and the Keychain entries. Nothing is stored server-side, so there's nothing else to clean up.
