Terms of service
Last updated: 30 July 2026
These terms ("Terms") cover your use of the Widgets iOS app and this website (together, "Widgets"). Widgets is run by Tony Gao ("I", "me"). If you don't agree with these Terms, don't use Widgets.
What you get
A non-exclusive, revocable, non-transferable license to install and use Widgets on iOS devices you own or control, for your personal use, under these Terms and Apple's standard EULA.
What you agree to
- You will only connect accounts (Strava, Toggl, Apple Health) that you have the right to access.
- You will not try to extract the OAuth client secrets from the app or the server.
- You will not use Widgets to break Strava's, Toggl's, Apple's, or Cloudflare's terms of service.
- You will not abuse the server (for example flooding it with requests, or using it as a login proxy for other apps).
Third-party services
Widgets connects to Apple Health (Apple Inc.), Strava (Strava, Inc.), Toggl Track (Toggl OU), and Cloudflare Workers (Cloudflare, Inc.). Your use of those services is governed by their own terms. Widgets just makes the connection and shows the data they return. I'm not responsible for outages, wrong data, or policy changes at those services.
No warranty
Widgets is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. I don't promise the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that the data it shows will be accurate or current. Don't use the heatmaps for medical, financial, or operational decisions that need precision. If you need exact numbers, check the Health app or the source service directly.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, I will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption, arising out of or in connection with your use of (or inability to use) Widgets, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
My total liability for any claim under these Terms shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid me in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) USD $10. Widgets is currently free, so practically: $10.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold me harmless from any claim, damages, or expenses arising from (i) your misuse of Widgets, (ii) your violation of these Terms, or (iii) your violation of any third-party right, including the terms of Strava, Toggl, Apple, or Cloudflare.
Termination
You can stop at any time by deleting the app and revoking the login grant at Strava (link in the privacy policy). I may suspend your access if you abuse the service or violate these Terms. On termination the license above ends, but the sections that naturally survive (warranty disclaimers, liability limits, indemnification, governing law) survive.
Changes
I may update these Terms as the app or the law changes. The date at the top shows the latest revision. Continued use after a change means you accept it. For big changes I'll show a notice in the app.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts in San Francisco County, California, and you consent to that exclusive jurisdiction.
